Battery Disposal
Some of our shipments may contain batteries and rechargeable batteries. Therefore, in accordance with the Battery Act (BattG), we are obliged to inform you about the proper disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries:
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not in household waste You are legally obliged to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Used batteries can contain harmful substances that endanger the environment and health if not disposed of properly. At the same time, batteries contain valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel, which can be recycled.
You can either send used batteries and rechargeable batteries back to us or return them free of charge in your area (e.g. in stores or at municipal collection points). You can also return them in our shop in Hildesheim You can donate batteries in normal household quantities, provided that we have or had them in our range as new batteries.
The symbol of the crossed-out garbage bin indicates that batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. In addition, the following symbols may be found on batteries:
- Pb : Battery contains lead
- Cd : Battery contains cadmium
- Hg : Battery contains mercury
